Our Chittering cabins are situated on Yued and Whadjuk Noongar boodja (country). The Yued region is north of the Whadjuk region – with both tribes travelling through Chittering throughout the changing seasons for trade and traditional ceremonies. We recognize their profound relationship with the land and their unwavering commitment to cultural and land preservation.

Things to do in Chittering Valley
If you want to explore the area without leaving the property, we’d recommend heading down to Nesci Estate Winery for a wine tasting. They also hold events like ‘Wine Down Friday’ and ‘Country Sundays’, that include live music and catering from a local business.
Stringybark Winery and Restaurant is another local favourite, serving their selection of wine paired with a seasonal menu that showcases the freshest local produce.
Connect with nature on a short walk on the Djidi Djidi Walk Trail, which is bursting with wildflowers like wattles, orchids and parrotbush in Kambarang (October – November).
Spoonbill Lake is another nearby spot where you can enjoy a quiet walk along the water. Take a picnic and a blanket, and relax on the riverbanks surrounded by local birdlife.
The town of Bindoon is only a 15-minute drive away. There you’ll find the Bindoon Bakehaus selling delicious bread, pastries and coffee, as well as the Locavore Store where you can try some of their fresh selection of local produce.
Where are our Chittering cabins?
Our Chittering cabins are situated on Yued and Whadjuk boodja (country). The Chittering Valley is known for its rolling hills, picturesque farmland, and quaint country charm with our accommodation nestled on unique land to appreciate your surroundings.
Nesci Estate was originally bought in 1948 by the Calabrian Nesci family to raise Hereford cows. The vines here were some of the first planted in Chittering area. They eventually transitioned into wine making, which is a tradition the owner Kevin Nesci continues with the Nesci Estate Wine Farm Cellar Door. Kevin also raises cattle here, so you might even spot cows grazing in nearby paddocks.

The first thing we noticed is the unique shape of the accommodation, almost everything was made of wood which truly made us feel like we were in a cabin in the forest! The owner showed up soon after we arrived and chatted to us about local activities and the glow worm experience on his land which he takes visitors to experience for $50 as an additional on property activity. He also mentioned he built the lodge for his grandkids which we thought was very sweet hendrerit in vulputate velit esse molestie consequat, vel illum dolore eu feugiat nulla facilisis at vero eros et accumsan et iusto odioLorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit, sed diam nonummy nibh euismod tincidunt ut laoreet dolore magna aliquam erat volutpat.
